Just been out for my annual flu vaccine, that's me all set for winter now.

The roads are starting to look better now but the pavements are far from it, my unsteady walking made it look like I'd had a few shandies at lunchtime.

I should have stopped to help the Mail van that is trapped close to my street but there is no way i could push something that size and there is no way he is getting out of that mound of snow without a shovel.

Just had to buy a new pair of gloves. My current ones are falling apart at the seams (quite literally). Got a nice new warm pair and then went to Tesco and got some half price Toblerone Tinys, even though I;

a) Shouldn't be eating fatty stuff
b) shouldn't be buying stuff I don't need

They' are lovely though!

Morning!

Can currently see my own breath in the Uni computer room. Considering the fact that my lectures don't finish until 6:30pm...This is going to be a looooong day. Hurrah for hot drinks!!! There seems to be a fun bet about whether or not the postie will make an arrival today or not though. Hope you all have a good day!

Morning.

Brrrr. Freezing here too. Bus was 5 minutes late as well so almost turned into a icicle myself waiting.

Had a meeting as soon as I got in too, good start to the day. Another one at 10am and lots of other stuff to do.

At least I have a day off tomorrow as it's the Nativity Play at the school. Means I can get a bunch of other stuff done in the house too and maybe get down to writing some Christmas Cards.

Morning,

bitterly cold out there today, -11 I'm being told. It is -4 in my daughter's nursery so they are over at the school. I'm going to defrost my face and try to make use of the quiet time and get some work done.

Good icicle formation, but = bad gutters...need to get the 'leak' sorted :¬)

Morning,
snowing again. Was all set to attempt to get into work today since the roads have been cleared to a certain degree but the latest snow has stopped that. And I can't work from home right now since there is a power cut at the office.

Evenin Dave,

Did wonder and thought about you when I received this text message from one of my banks today ...how thoughtful I thought...

"Please bear with us if you are trying to call. Our people at the Scottish Call Centre can't get to work safely in the snow."

I wish my company was as understanding and thoughtful :¬D

Sorry to hear that. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Cheers pb.

It's not all bad, I've spent the day downloading 10GB of Lord of the Rings Online. It's almost done. Started well at 1MB/s, but it has been fluctuating between 1B/S and 200 KB/s the past few hours.

Also played abit of Battle for Middle Earth. Is an ok game, prefer the likes of Total War myself. Am looking forward to the Shogun 2 release. Looks brilliant.

How is everyone else this afternoon? Don't worry, Monday's nearly over already ;D
