I played LOTRO for a while a couple of years back when it was a paid subscription and I really enjoyed it. I only got to about level 20 though before being tempted back to WoW, which is the clear winner when it comes to MMORPGs even with the monthly subscription.

If you're ever able to stump up the money for WoW Chris then I highly recommend it. I haven't played for a few months but I intend to give Cataclysm a whirl in a month or 2 when the servers have quietened down a bit.

That's definitely a factor in why I don't play WoW. I did play it for a few months, about 3 I think. Ran out of membership, never played it since. I've played the likes of Guild Wars (about 4 months) since.

Despite the fact it's free, LOTRO is actually alot better than I expected. May review it in the future.

Morning all.

Day off today as wife isn't feeling well and eldest has Nativity Play.

It also means I get to tidy up and finally take some stuff to the recycling centre.

Also got Formula 1 through the post today, so big thanks to Freeola! That will be hopefully played a lot over Christmas.

Why wouldn't you just go for WoW? We have enough people to help you out and make the experience easier and more fun (hopefully 0_o.... unless you let me tank for you, in which case you would call it hectic trying to keep up).

Is it the cost?

Evening peeps.

Was back in college today. Didn't do much, so it wasn't too bad. Bit of work to do tonight.

Last night, I started playing Lord of the Rings Online. Is a pretty decent MORPG. Wouldn't say MMORPG, as it's not massive in the amount of players, in comparison to the likes of WoW, but I'm really enjoying it at the moment. They've recently made it free to play, with the aim of becoming the best free MMORPG (think Guild Wars is probably the holder of that title, and that's rubbish). There is a store where you can purchase items (as usual), but you can just earn the store coins ingame, and purchase the nicer items using them.

Hello peeps :)

Just read back a few messages and realised I've forgotten the flipping xmas cards! Oh well - my friends know me well enough not to expect one (and I will probably forget about them again as soon as I leave this thread ><) and the shock of me remembering would probably hospitalise a few of them. Not a good time of year to give ppl a shock.

Moved the car for the first time in a week this lunchtime. I was very proud of myself and how brave I was being. Going up the sliproad for the M62 and the mirror fell out of the drivers side. Now I have to be brave again and go pick up a new one that I had to order!

Ah yes, lovely Flu Vaccines. Had mine a few weeks back as they were doing them free at work (as well as a big health check which was good for me as I wanted to get a check up). Arm went dead for a couple of days after that.

Going to finish work in a minute. I was here far too long yesterday so would be nice to finish earlier today.
