Managed to put tree up, but still lots of snow. Thankfully it's not quite knee-deep now, but still quite high for the dog. Poor thing! Also raining quite hard here in Yorkshire too.

Having walked home at 2am for most of this week, I'd say it feels at least -5c when you factor in the windchill. 7 or 8c would be quite nice right about now.

Snow is now blizzard conditions...wind has now changed direction and haven't we got a 'skip full'. Reminds me of the six day cut-off we had in early December '95 or '96, it started on a Friday evening .. oh dear :¬(

Morning,

no sign of our snow melting and the more than ample collection of snow that we have has called in for reinforcements. I spent ages yesterday clearing the driveway. I now need to clear the car and round it so I can get in. I will be able to get onto the road, not sure I can drive on it but it looks like it is all fairly compact. I wouldn't bother but it is my daughter's birthdat party tomorrow and so far it is all still on so I need to get her there.

Sick of the sight of snow now. But I can never tire of the ever increasing selection of icicles we have. One of them is about 3 foot long now... it's going to impale me at some point, I can tell.

Spent most of morning helping the neighbours get their cars out, in the hope that maybe they'll do the same later! Same really that most of it is melting, though it's still knee height at the moment.

Snow mostly melted now. Possibly more this afternoon but I'm not expecting much. Hopefully it's not too icy though as I've got to do the school run this morning (have a meeting at the school as well).

Evening all. Finally complained formally and threatened that I'd be sending the bill for my hotel room if they didn't fix my heating. Returned back and it was like walking into an oven. loving it. Although...if I were being picky I'd say too hot.

Still, a bit of snow fell tonight. Expecting more overnight. I don't care though. My room is HAWT!
