@pb
Unfortunately it's a private multi-national company....no union :¬( And not a lot else if the truth were known. However tomorrow's meeting will reveal all and I shall certainly be fighting my case, if not for me, then for all the rest :¬)
Do you have a union? Worth fighting for as much as you can get in return.
Really sorry to hear that DL.
As were we pete...no indication at all. Infact our site has been the 'star' of all the sites within the group for many years. Needless to say we were all astounded by the news....that's 36 happy bunnies this Christmas plus wives, partners, girlfriends, children and two new borns.
Just sat pondering the festive Christmas bonus issued to us at work this morning.......we are all redundant!!!!!!! :¬((
Brings to mind that old cliche.."it's always at Christmas"
We were summoned to a meeting this morning and given the good news, issued with a formal notification and a formal invitation to a 1 to 1 tomorrow to discuss our individual cases.
Just makes you wonder whether it's all worth it....
'Merry Christmas' :¬)
Managed to finish my essay on global warming with a mild hangover this morning, and won the assessment random word game, although my assigned word was fairly simple to get into it. I fear that I may fail the assignment for the labscript, however.

The charts in general don't reflect my taste, as my taste in music is fairly obscure, so I go for the music I like, and not what everyone else likes, I guess.
I doubt the 4′33″ campaign will work on anything like the scale of Rage last year. Then it was a new thing and with the choice of song (the last couple of minutes in particular) it captured the mood of all the other underground movements at the time.
With the success of that campaign, there are so many more trying to emulate it this time around that it will not have the desired effect and Matt will be #1 over Christmas.
Yeh, the RATM was a one off. It was predictable that there'd be a few copycat campaigns, that are just going to fail. It was a one off, and it proved a point. Anyway, I couldn't give a monkeys who's number one, the christmas chart does not reflect my taste, I have my own chart :)
Mind you, when I work from home I have the option of both PCs on, so I can update the website :) So maybe I should just work from home more often?!
Can that be used in both directions? ;¬)
NB. Obviously not worth losing your proper job over though!
