Errrrrr........nope. You have totally lost me. I pretty much said exactly this. A couple of posts before your last post 0_o

Were you perhaps referring to Butch's post?

Just been watching the Nintendo 3DS conference live on their site. It was hosted by Jonathan Woss, which was unexpected. Either way, the system looks really nice, though I'm a little concerned they didn't give a flat price along with the March 25th release date. I will be unsure of pre ordering it over a certain price point until I've seen what Sony are going to be offering from the PSP2.

Anyway, back to work now (took a LONG lunch time to watch the show, thanks for self employment!)

See my thread in the Games section for a complete run down of details on the 3DS (well, as complete as I could, given that I was typing on one PC while watching on another). Includes current price point details.

I and, contrary to your results, every one I have spoken to about the incident were disgusted with his actions.

If this is true then we must not have had one conversation on the subject since the World Cup.

Personally I am in the camp with those that believe he did what he had to for the sake of his country winning the game, 'taking one for the team' was mentioned earlier, and he was punished accordingly with a red card and a ban. I think it is refreshing to see a professional, highly-paid, footballer sacrifice himself (in the game, and for the rest of the tournament) for the sake of his team, especially during a climate where players are vilified for being only self-serving prima-donnas.

People have been hand-balling on the line for years to prevent goals, not to mention deliberately scything down attackers when through on goal. Why should Suarez take all the flak?

As I said at the time, I am willing to bet a large amount of money that if Rooney/Fat Frank/A. N. Other had done the same thing to send England through to the World Cup Semis, he would be an O.B.E. by now and the whole incident forgotten.

Suarez is a good, solid, performer who proved his commitment to the team with this one action, I would be more than happy to see him down The Lane, if he stops biting people and, in all honesty, Liverpool need a striker who is going to play for the team right now.

P.S. Good Morning to all non-football fans.

I never said it was right what Suarez did. But what he did at that point was punished by the way that the rules guideline should be done in instances of deliberate handball. The thing i'm arguing is that it's not a persistant offence in of itself that should be targetted (his discipline and conduct on the pitch themselves are other matters and on those i'll completely agree that he is an utter disgrace).

I believe that it's a completely different matter for those who attempt to twist and skew, to play around with the fact that it is humans prone to human error for their own advantage (That would, for the main part, be diving). There is a difference between trying to cheat (being caught, getting booked) and cheating (not getting caught, getting a penalty/free kick). Not saying there's particularly a difference in what's going on there between the two, but I guess there's a severity for success, in this case.

What can I say? My wife watched it religiously so I was bound to pick up a thing or too! :D

Well I'm glad to finally find some sense among people. As I've said below, I don't see how it's fair. Most people seem to have an idea that he knowingly broke the rules for his country. To be honest, I think it's more than that. Suarez seems to have a horrible streak in him, it's more about winning than playing fairly. I mean how disrespectful is it to not only prevent an entire nation going through in what's supposed to be a fair game, but to flaunt his success right infront of the opposition team and their fans. As Nin as suggested below, he's a new Ronaldo, and I don't want him in the Liverpool squad, goals or not.
