PB, what sort of trade-in deal are Gamestation offering? Tempted to replace my PSP for an iPod Touch. Or if I can save enough, have both.

Hey, at least he'd get free games out of it. :D

Well, said bye bye to my Kinect games (review for the other 2 going up soon, let's just say they're on the same level as Fighters Uncaged) and hello to Little Big Planet 2 CE.

That's it for games for the moment, as any new trade-ins will go straight towards the 3DS.

The main question is: do I now trade in my PSP 3000? It's got a load of games on the 16GB Memory Stick but they're linked to my account so technically I can download them again if I get another PSP at a later date (like the PSP2, assuming it allows backward compatibility). Gamestation doing a deal on trading it in at the moment.

You piqued my interest pb until you mentioned the need for an iPhone type device. I don't think my brother would appreciate me using his.

It's an iOS (iPhone/iPod Touch) site, so you'd need an iOS device to be able to review the games.

Still on the lookout for someone who wants to review and write news for my website. If you know anyone who wants to get into games journalism professionally, it's a good starting point.

I am definately interested in the field of games journalism as a proffesional pursuit. What sort of content were you looking for, in terms of platform etc?

Morning all.

Had breakfast and coffee while sat at my desk. Lots to do, but still don't feel fully awake.

Still on the lookout for someone who wants to review and write news for my website. If you know anyone who wants to get into games journalism professionally, it's a good starting point.

I do need someone who will be able to spend some time during the day updating news, though, (as well as timely reviews) as I already have staff to do reviews. The benefits are free games and exposure to developers/games press at the moment, plus occasional bonuses once a few things are sorted out.

Oh, and it doesn't matter where in the world you are, either.

Mad wave of iPhone games released and press releases are just flying in to my inbox.

My fingers will be sore from all the typing soon!

Just read that Activison are closing down Liverpool based games developer Bizarre Creations (PGR series,Blur).Really sad to hear this as I have been a fan of their work since playing Metropolis Street Racer many moons ago on the Dreamcast.I must be in a minority as I really liked Blur but I'm guessing that it just didn't sell ?.I have ordered their latest and obviously now last (for Activision at least) game 007 Bloodstone.I've heard the vehicle based sections are great fun in it,which isn't all that surprising given BC's background.Hopefully they will get picked up by another distributor sometime soon.Microsoft,if you're listening PGR 5 would be nice.

[If you got:

However, we will not be processing your application any further at this time as we have found a candidate that matches our requirements more closely."

Then you got the standard letter. But it does mean they'll keep you on file for possible future positions.

Good luck with future interviews though, often it's just a case of being the right person at the right time, even if you ace an interview it's not an exact science.

It was a phone call. It was back to what I used to do in my old job but I've been away fro 6 years and they found someone in the same section of banking (which I wasn't) and with more recent use of the programming language than me. It was the 2nd interview I've had in this company, 1st was a more senior role and he did say he can understand why I went for that role based on my experience.... so for a no thanks, it was pretty decent and I'm happy at how I interviewed, I wasn't so happy with the interview for the other position.

Despite the January slowdown in games, I still want to get Dead Space 2 and Bulletstorm at some point. Particularly Epic edition of the latter with the Gears of War 3 beta included.

Yeah, those 2 look pretty interesting.Thought Bulletstorm was end of next month though ?.My understanding is that the Epic Edition comes with 'early access to the Gears Of War 3 beta',presume there will be a process to get on it at a slightly later date via another method though ? (Eurogamer or whatever).

Having a rubbish day so far,it appears that our recently fitted bath has been leaking from the waste trap and it has damaged the newly plastered ceiling in the lounge.Got someone coming to have a look at it later.Hopefully it can be fixed relatively easy. Not really what I wanted to find when I got up this morning but these happen from time to time.

It seems to be getting unbelievably quiet on here these days.
