This will of course be accompanied by the usual 'Hey there ...., try doing this/that etc.'.
I hope this is a way of moderating that everyone will be happy with :)
Currently referencing my first assignment of 2011, really can't wait to have some 'free' time! Hope I don't lose the feeling when I go to actually play a game though.
Nier is a good game! Was going to write a review about it, but I feel guilty writing on something that isn't a essay with the current deadlines. Hate the person that made them all close together. It's still fun to talk with the people here though!
Anyway...forgot LittleBigPlanet 2 was out this week, will keep a look out when i'm walking around in town. I have Dark Cloud to finish, but that will most probably stay like that for a very long time.
Just read that Activison are closing down Liverpool based games developer Bizarre Creations (PGR series,Blur).Really sad to hear this as I have been a fan of their work since playing Metropolis Street Racer many moons ago on the Dreamcast.I must be in a minority as I really liked Blur but I'm guessing that it just didn't sell ?.I have ordered their latest and obviously now last (for Activision at least) game 007 Bloodstone.I've heard the vehicle based sections are great fun in it,which isn't all that surprising given BC's background.Hopefully they will get picked up by another distributor sometime soon.Microsoft,if you're listening PGR 5 would be nice.
Yeh, absolutely gutted to hear this. PGR alone I feel is a good enough reason to keep the company going. Blur really didn't receive the reception that was expected.
People don't like to try new games with new names though. Playing The Saboteur at the moment, and besides a few bugs, it's a fantastic game, and for £10, an absolute bargain. But I've asked in college, and nobody thus far has heard of it.
Still, Liverpool have a lot of games companies around the city. There's always SONY :P
It's an iOS (iPhone/iPod Touch) site, so you'd need an iOS device to be able to review the games.
Ah, unfortunately I don't have access to those systems! Never mind then
...funny, since this time last week I had literally no work to do and just couldn't bring myself around to doing much gaming or writing. Seems like it needs to be a distraction.
Edit: @ HiddenWingz - I feel literally inundated with new games at the moment. With 3 Sly Cooper games, 2 Prince of Persia games, God of War 3, Bayonetta, Nier, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Just Cause 2 and Yakuza 3 all yet to start, and LittleBigPlanet 2 and Mass Effect 2 heading my way (hopefully) within the next few days.
And i'm reluctant to start them before finishing the other list of games that i've started and not finished with (Heavy Rain, Dead Rising 2, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Smackdown vs. RAW 2011, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, The Saboteur and Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time, among others with a bit less to do on them, and the PSN titles which I'm not including)
Still have builders in the house. They found some dodgey plumbing, so they're being kind enough to sort that out. Means we wont have a shower or bath until Tuesday, but will be worth it once all of this is done!
Hoping to get some new games next week, just hope that the local stock has increased by then. Have a good weekend everybody!
However, they always match nearby stores and if you have a CEX nearby you can look on www.cex.com to get the trade in price from there.
Think my PSP 3000 would be about £60-£70, phat is £45 and Slim and Lite is somewhere in between, but don't quote me! Even if I trade that in I've still got some way to go for the full amount.
