Phil Jones going to United.

Sunderland apparently want to buy O'shea, Brown and Gibson.

That's just 'experts' classing him as past his sell-by-date. He's only 32 for pete(21)'s sake. He was sublime last year at the world cup, and plays well for Bayern Munich. As a free transfer, any top club would be foolish not to give him a few seasons to round off his career. He won't come to us, our wage bill is too high as it is. Think Tottenham would be the place for him, they have an incredible defence and midfield, but were lacking the finishers.

If he goes to Tottenham, I reckon they'll have the top 4 wrapped up next season, he'd do well for them.

Try this:

QUOTE:

"So he may be after guaranteed first team football week in week out, which he would be unlikely to get at any of the top six in England.
Nevertheless, he is a player I admire and while I can’t see a move to any of our Champions League sides as a likely destination, I think signing a quality forward who is a full international on a free transfer would be well worth the gamble for Liverpool or Tottenham. "

A gamble at the minute SC :¬)

:(

As for this download thing, I was looking at what's on offer yesterday and was more interested in Streets of Rage II than any of the PS3 games. Might take Wipeout HD but couldn't give a toss about the others.

The only reason they pale in comparison to modern games because so many elements have been borrowed and improved upon making older games seem stale.

But in the case of VII, that's pretty much an average rpg.

Doubtful it will live up to your hopes, I recently replayed FFVII - previously my favourite game of all time. It killed my love for it.

Older games, save for their vintage charm, simply can't compete with some of the modern day good-average releases, sadly.

Similar to my reasoning Chris. I would love inFamous, for sure, but I have a bunch of similar games which are unfinished, and once I get them finished, they will just get discarded. Wipeout definitely has re-playability, and is a decent game just to pick up and play for 10-20 minutes.

I need to get bored of these PSN games pretty soon though as I've just bought an N64 and Ocarina of Time which are waiting patiently next to my PS3. Never played OoT (not fully anyway), and wanted to play it in its traditional, stupidly high-rated form.

Edit: Just wanted to add that I picked up the N64 and OoT, both boxed with manuals, cables, controllers, leaflets etc in near perfect condition for a combined total of about £25.

Think Wipeout will be more fun once I get into it more. Bought it for the replay value more than anything. inFamous would've probably been completed soon and then tossed aside.

Not at all. Just very indecisive, plus I already have Wipeout. (The other games didn't interest me at the time) Had the idea of trading it in, which I guess I can still do. So far loving Burnout Paradise too. Have to agree it's a lot more fun to go around crashing into everything. Ended up on a railway track somehow too. Yay for open world exploring/crashing!
