SC you're havin a laugh ... you have all the world in front of you and now you are being maudlin!

You have had a set back, perhaps assumed too much ... but all is not lost and, by the way, University attendance doesn't guarantee a job these days!

Look at 'available jobs' within your chosen career and tell me what you find .... and if you need a cv, ask me :¬)

Yeah w666 don't worry too much. I flopped a bit plus it didn't help when I found my course requirements had been increased. At the moment I'm looking at a few options. A foundation degree seems to be the best option for myself. As for the fees a debt is a debt. As long as you get something good at the end, I wouldn't worry too much about the debt. You should only worry if you get a debt and get absolutely nothing from it.

Failing a foundation degree, an apprenticeship is my next option.

Failing that, I'm going to try and get back onto my sixth form for another year.

And as a last resort, I'll look for a full-time job to get some work experience and go to a night school.

It's hard to see nearly every single one of my friends updating their facebook with Uni statuses, and thinking I won't be joining them all. Personally, I still can't believe I've just been dropped out of the education system all of a sudden, seeing as I've spent all my life so far in education. But on the flip side, it's something new, it teaches new lessons that can't be taught in classes and it's never over until you stop trying! :)

Both of my sons, who worked extremely hard, didn't quite make the mark either....but age now tells a different story.

However, they both wanted to do the same as you and both studied HND's in Sport Science at the local tech as was...a qualification higher than A levels and entry to University, which one did and achieved a 2.1 in Sport Science at Staffordshire Uni. Other joined the RAF Regiment. My sons are 26 and 24 so not that long ago :¬)

Thanks Dragonlance :)

And Happy Birthday HighflyerVII, have a great meal

Happy (or not, for some) results day for all of those concerned, and happy birthday to me ;)

Going out for a meal soon, looking forward to it.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

I officially hate results day :(

I ended up getting overall a C in law, D in critical thinking, E in p.e (idiot of p.e teacher didn't know the rules to rounders), and a U in biology.

I want to do sport and exercise science at Glamorgan university next year when the prices go up too :S May have to re-think.

Afternoon,

had the morning off as it was my daughter's first day at school. All went well. It then took me a little longer to get to work as my usual road is closed for roadworks and the diversion led me to another closed road.

@pb... sorry to hear about the guinea pig.

Second guinea pig has died :(

Got a call at lunch time (early morning UK time) and just had to phone the wife and kids and break the news to them. He missed his brother, who died earlier in the year, and always had a problem with fluid on the lungs but seemed to cope well with it. Wasn't expecting this though.

Morning.

Well, hotel decided it was a good idea to clean and Hoover at 3am. I guess they were getting rooms ready for new guests. Problem was that it also prevented me from sleeping.

Up now and had breakfast, waiting for someone to pick me up to go around the shops. Need to find out if I need cash or can use a card though. Guess it'll be a trip to the ATM.

Quite surprised that I've even been able to keep the AppGamer site running and should get my second review since being here out tonight. Typical that as we move nearer to Gamecon I'm getting more and more requests to review new games again.

Need more staff - and Sonic Chris back in the action too :D

Yeh, I have been slacking off a bit. I get too preoccupied with other things. Attention span of a spoon.

heh. I thought that might get your attention.

Whenever you need new games to review, just ask. But probably best to get some more reviews up there first! :)

I've actually got a new reverse Tower Defence game from Chillingo that you might be interested in.
