Later today I see a specialist to find out what is wrong with me. At this point I'm getting rather nervous about what he is going to say to me. Its a shame that it isn't tomorrow, because by tomorrow I will know what he said to me. And I will know what he said to me for the rest of my life (providing I don't forget). If this evening my specialist tells me what is wrong with me then that fact will be the truth for the rest of my life.

Hold on though. If what he tells me is the truth tomorrow, then isn;t it also true that what he tells me was the truth today as well. And if that is true, then it was also true the day before that, and the day before that too. In fact, it must have been true the day before I was born. In which case, it has always been true and will always be true.

It doesn't take a great jump of reasoning from here for me to realise that this is true of any event. In which case, everything that is going to happen, was going to happen since the beginning of time. (if there was a beginning of time, something else that I'm struggling to get my head around).

Does that mean then, that everything then is predetermined. It must do surely. And this makes me very uncomfortable.

Obvioulsy he used his free will to follow the path into evil - sound's like I was on the pulpit when I said that -

The rapsit has chosen to commit the foul act - but was the victim preordained to be the victim ? And what about the rapist then repenting whilst in prison and turning to Christ ? For all her protestations that she had changed who actually believed Myra Hindley ? But then it is not for us to judge.

My heads not able to cope coherently with the rest at the moment...

Isn't that Fat Rik Waller's excuse for being a loser?

So what problems do you have today then Ros? Depression? Worms? 'Lady Problems'? I can just imagine this specialist slapping someone round the face and going "Why don't you just cheer up for f*cks sake!!!".

But don't you like to contemplate the ideas?
I'm after an honest reason why you don't here, because I'm interested.

Is that a dig at me for being philosophical today.

I'm not being wingy like yesterday, Its an improvement isn't it, and many people have said that they like it when I post thought-provoking stuff, so I took stuff a bit further and posted some of the things that I have been thinking about since I was little.

I thought it might perk things up abit, but y'know feel free to critise, as always.

I find it difficult to think that Hitler et al were pre-ordained to be tyrannts and inflict misery upon the world. Is a rapist innocent of his/her actions because they have already been determined. The victim may well be a christian and think well "this is a test of faith" but who is being used? The rapist for being condemned to hell for his action over which he had no control over, or the women who was destined to have the most hideous experience of her life? If there is no free will and if people are not responsible for their own actions then there cannot be sin and thus no saviour or need for salvation. It's not my fault that God made me able to reason and decide not to believe in him.

Everyone makes their own destiny, which is largely predetermined, not by God, but by your DNA. Your genes make you human and largely define your physical and mental capabilities, your environment and the situations that the find yourself in define the rest.

If you or I were born in Pakistan, and never emigrated, we'd be and remain Muslims, we'd also believe that christians were wrong and possibly infidels...

In my mind God may well have created a Universe but has left it to run it's own course, and we are just part of that creation.

God is supposed to have a big book in which the names of all those past present and future, who are to be saved, are written.

Something I caould never understand. After all, if my name isn't down, then it doesn't matter what I do does it?
