And I found going insane to be the most entertaining thing I've done recently. It lets me play Cardboard Tube Ninja on the underground without any concern about what people think of me.

I'm a drummer, but last weekend I burst into "These Boots are made for walking" in the middle of Oxford and ended up with a round of applause from startled onlookers when I finished.

You missed my point.
I meant if you aren't willing to make a mark, to do something you want to purely because you want to, speak to a stranger for no reason, sing loudly in public...if all you do is sit and complain, then nobody will listen because you become yet another grey face in the crowd.
Either try and light a fire big enough to be seen from space or quietly close your door and wait for the end.
