I thought it was a little odd that the price of the Gamecube had slashed to a stupid £99 with free game. It's now been announced that Dixons will no longer stock the Gamecube!! It also looks like Game and PC world (Colchester shops) aren't that interested in Gamecube either if you live in this neck of the woods!!! Please comment on this and if shops around your area are not stocking Gamecube/Games anymore!!!

I think you all ought to grow up a bit and think about this news! Any REAL Nintendo fan will be devastated to hear that ANY store has decided to drop the Cube not even a year after its launch. Even the N64 didnt have to suffer that sort of embarrasment that early in its life! I agree that there are some absolutley fantastic titles on the way but who is gonna buy them? Virtually the whole population has a PS2 and whatever game and however good, is released on the cube only a tiny fraction will be buying it. That is not good news for Nintendo (however much they try to rubbish the facts).

Mark my words (and I hate to say this) but in 3-4 years time or even earlier Nintendo will ditch the UK (like the rumours about the cube ever being released here at all) or they will go software only worldwide or even disappear altogether!!

If Nintendo UK got there act together and ADVERTISED things might change but I cant ever see that happening now coz they are on a slippery slope already and it will be money down the drain. They should of flooded the market with adverts, posters, merchandise, etc LAST May!

Shops like Game need a slap as they dont help! The Gamecube shelf couldn't be further out of the way. Although I must admit that the recent windows of Game do have posters for Resident Evil Zero.

Good work. Dixon's really have some poor offers sometimes and shops like GAME force them out of the market...

I seem to remember reading something a few weeks back that said about how all the Dixons' stores are having bad sales with all consoles in general, and not just the GameCube - which lead to the price-drops...

So, with almost everyone having one-or-two PS2's by now, could we soon see them ditch selling PS2 consoles??

And are they really ditching the games aswell, or is it just the machines?

its a nationwide thing, all dixons and pc worlds should be reducing their prices either now, or in the near future, they feel that it takes up too much room to have 3 consoles and they think the x box and ps2 are more popular

Unbelievable. What idiots. Well, with quite a few AAA titles coming out, they'll be the ones making the loss.

This is mental. It's nearly the same price as the GBA SP!

Tell me, in this deal do you have to choose a certain game or can you pick any you like? It's just I've been on the website and they don't evne have any GC hardware listed.

What about PC World - is this the same? Oh, and do the Dixons corp. sell Xboxes? Because it'd be great if they'd stop them too. That way, I could pick one up cheap.
