The Playstation has there sequal to there console which has sold more than any other, Nintendo are going to show everyone how to do a good handheld as well as create more of the greatest games in the world while Microsoft prepares to beat all opposition in the gaming industry...

WHO WILL WIN

After the popularity of the playstation there is no reason why the public wont go for playstation again but are they fed up of seeing the same old games? Do Sony have the innovations to keep them afloat? So far so good although sales haven't been stunning but the orders are now all over the world starting to pick up and their sequals are all amazing.

Nintendo are back and after the late success of the 64 it looks as if their success could continue on the Gamecube. At the moment in Japan the Gameboy Colour is number 1 ahead of PS2 so the Gameboy advanced will surly smash sales records again. But can Nintendo keep inovating? Can they keep their slightly more adult image on the Gamecube? Yet just remmember the Gamecube is the only actual game console not a multimedia console .

The X box, Microsofts new wonder machine could flop like the Philips CDI or hit the top like the playstation im betting on the latter but... Can Microsoft sell cheap? Can they make games? Are they just creating a new PC? we will have to wait!

So Who will win what do you think?

Sorry I didn't mean to come across as aggressive, it's just that the whole "console wars" thing has been done to death!

Nintendo have always advertised well in the States, it's over here that they don't, and that's what bugs me.

Also, not many 10 year olds watch Friends, so how has an N64 being on Friends made the N64 the most popular console for the under 10s?

And don't knock my name until you can tell me where I got it from. It's a part of a classic

These small advertisements have Made nintendo the most popular console for the under 10's. ok they do only seem to concentrate on the younger generation but they have already started to advertise well in america have you heard the seen banjo tooie advert in america and what about the conkers bad fur day one which is shown after 10 which goes "if you whant the best f****ng game on the nintendo 60 f****ng 4 then get Conkers bad f****ng fur day." pure brilliance...

What i was pointing out is nintendo's ability to advertise products Pokemon was so successfuly advertised it made millions so was super mario brothers 3 which people had a glimpse of in a Nintendo movie and that made millions. So although Nintendo dont if they want to they can seriously advertise any number of their products and make millions from it. so ok they dont but if they need to they will and so lets end the argument with if it is neccesary for nintendo to advertise they will but there is enougth hype around they Gamecube already and do you really think people seeing playstation on Friends will make them buy it? they will make up there own minds. (well they should)

What is wrong with me saying if these apparent die hard Nintendo fans give up with Nintendo then they are not Die Hard i see my self as a die hard nintendo fan as i don't see myself giving up faith on a company that keeps inventing and keeps coming up with the goods.

Any way nintendo have got rid of the games ltd so we may see improvement on the advertisement front.

And can i get it through when i say who will win i'm trying to provoke an argument on which games console will end up top of the market. so who do you think will have the best console and what are their strengths and weaknesses. And lets be a little friendlier

I was talking more of advertising the N64 rather than Pokemon, by which, ouside the cartoon, how many ads have you seen? Simpsons are pretty much always degrogatory about Video games, Nintendo or otherwise, so I'm not too sure how much help that is? 'Friends' had Chandler exclaim that a PS1 was the object every man in the world wanted to own, I'm not sure most people take that much notice of the friends fridge magnets?

Nintendo really are only just seeing Europe as a market worth speing time on... up until last year they had another company sorting out all their business over here...

The die hard fans are being forgotten, ignored, and are leaving after being fand for over 12 years against stiff competition all the way... its not that there not so die-hard... more that EVEN they are begining to give up...

Always remember, 49.9% of your friends are below average.

They need to market the console!

Sponsor some TV shows, show advertisements on TV, run competitions.

A few mentions on The Simpsons, and an N64 above a fridge on Friends won't make people buy a console!

Nintendo don't advertise their products very well WHATTTT! if you find anyone who doesn't know pokemon then he must of been dead for a year Cartoons, movies, cards, toys, adverts and anything else that exists that is what saved Nintendo largly thanks to advertisement. Also in Friends didn't any one notice the N64 in chanlers and Joeys house above the fridge? don't the Simpsons mention Nintendo regulary and when it comes to game shows don't Nintendo always have the best presentation answer to all of those is YES ok Nintendo don't plaster there names on footballers shirts but they do get there name about and if nintendo lost die hard fans then they weren't die hard were they. exactly!

Using a cart did give a lot of people the view that Nintendo were behind the time (when they were really thinking of the gamepayers), but Sonys advertising won the day, not only did they use more sophisticated advertising then Nintendo, they product placed on programs like Friends and aimed at the 20s market, previously left to PC owners... which itself, as it turns out is the largest market avalible... Nintendo 64 was the best of the last bunch, and N64 sales my be up now, but they did lose a lot of die hard fans. Sony did win the last battle. Nintendo have A LOT more work to do to stay up with the pack than ever before...

No matter how much sony and microsoft try there really gonna have no chance against the gamecube cause how ever much you want to deny it the fact is that Nintendo always have and always will make the better games, there isnt one game on the playstation that is any where near as good as any of the classic games on the N64, even metal gear solid could never be prepared to Zeldas or Mario 64. Nintendo may have messed up the N64 (the only real thing they messed up was the cartridge instead of CD factor) but this time they have one of the most technologically powerful consoles out there they have tons of amazing game creators backing there machine and hopefully the games might be cheaper this time.

As long as they get the advertising right and the price of the games right then they cant fail.

I'm betting on Nintendo, the 64 is going from strength to strength (what a year with Perfect Dark and Zelda MM) and with Conkers Bad Fur Day and new pokemon games the gamecube is being set up nicely.

Microsoft clearly have the best spec console out... but thats didnt do Nintendo much good with the N64 vs Playstsion... and Aparently the big M sees its biggest problem as its image... It appears Link opion is that of a lot of people... Which is why theve signed up 200 odd software companys to make there games. Especially sad since Peter Moleneux has said hes not going to make any more PC games after B&W... However things like this are going to get console buying PC owners more interested in the system... Also there looking to get an massive number of games avalible on release!

I've gotta agree with Linkm Nintendo are going to screw up the NCube somehow... I bought an N64 so I could grab hold of Mario World, Maroi Kart, Golden Eye and the other Gems of the machine... But since these early releases, a couple of years ago I totally lost confidence in the box... Hopefully there new ditributors will be better... though they can hardley be worse than the last?

I'm sure PS2 will do well... look at the excellent advertising theve done so far... the limited quantities scam was a waork of genius... its worked so well, that XBox have put back their release date....

Although Sony & MS are big companys, theve thrown a lot into their new consoles, botth of them REALLY mean business, and neither can offred to lose.... its going tobe interesting to see what happens next...
