If anyone here took either and could give me their thoughts on it, that would be most helpful.
The other subjects I'm taking are:
Philosophy
Pyschology
Biology
Photography
All full A levels.
I like writing (creative), so I want to expand my vocabulary and enhance whatever style I might have, I don't like analysing poetry or writing essays on Injustice and Misunderstanding in Silas Marner.
They may seem to point obviously towards English Language, but Lit is a better qualification to have, and probably covers most of the writing technique that would be involved in Language.
Any thoughts?
I think I'm going to fail so give me all the info you can.
I took 4 different ones through my 3 years at a 6th form. I left with a single 'E' in AS-Level Music. i.e. failed 4 A-Levels.
But I still got into a Uni and regularly get over 75% for all my coursework. It shows that a totally different learning/teaching structure is in place.
It's English language AS or Lit A
hmm...taking on 5 full A levels might be a bit too much..
And with bloody general studies that's six..
I do English Lang/Lit, why not consider that? Basically it's a combination between both, and while it does involve crappy poetry anthologies the creative writing aspect is enjoyable. And it keeps options open for university.
Its up to you though.
Do what you are best at - English as a language, or how it has been used.
Looks like it will be Lit then, bah, I know I'm going to regret it :(
That sucks, our school only ever let us do normal stuff
