Well i know i have done a thread like this a while back but i thought i would try again and see if any of the noobs are interested in this sort of thing and want some advice and help from us pro's :).

frequency and something or other, if it is bundles you may be out of luck as i know people like compaq tend to write there own bios's and take out things like that...........

But all is not lost i can e-mail you a program that allow you to change the fsb in wondows, it's called soft fsb and i can't seem to find a download for it on google but kazaa has it.

Oh i get u. god knows where that is i got my pc as a whole thing. this fsb must be under something like power managemnt or something. what category is it under yours

Don't worry about bothering me if you don't know you don't know :), it is the same principly as the jumper on the back of the hard drive, but not the jumper on the hard drive, it can be found usually near the cmos battery (the flat one) this can also clear the bios by removing and the replacing it, have a look in you motherboard manual under cmos clear or something like that.

38 degrees is o.k. darkus but yes the cooler the better, they can run o.k. to over 60 degrees but most are set to kick in the thermal throttling at around 63 - 65 degrees.

im a tad confused is it on the back of your hard drive or on the motherboard, so would u just move it to one position then back. soz to annoy u just a little confused.

And this FSB in the bios setup. i cant find it anywhere.

Just a quick question- what is the normal temperature for a P4 Chip to be running at ideally? I guess the colder the better... I think mine runs at about 38.
