Do people still argue over consoles?

The GCs shoulder buttons click, the PS2s don't and are pressure sensitive, maybe you had a broken pad last time you touched one.

No way, no way. The main analog stick is in the wrong place, for a start.

That wouldn't be a hardware problem as the N64 was basically a step between the PS1 and PS2, running on a MIPS 4000 processor when the PS1 had a MIPS 3000 and the PS2 a MIPS 5000.
(he's gonna tell me he imported Winning Eleven isn't he??)

Wrong, it's worse for first person games, and the mother of all games, Pro Evo ;-).
But the Gamecube's controller is what Killer 7 was built around. The PS2's controller was forced to fit it.
It's for the important things like "Go drive fast!" "Kill die kill!" and "Jump now quick!"

That's the same with any game like this though. The PS2s digital clicky shoulder buttons just arent as satisfying as the meaty GC ones. In games like Resi 4 and Killer 7 where you use them to aim and stuff, it's gotta be less satisfying using the PS2 buttons.
