I went to my first rock gig last night.

At a small club called 'The Net' in Abingdon. There were 4 bands playing -'Redifine' headlined.

It was fantastic. Real live rock. It was amazingly heavy - not the kind of stuff I'd listen to on CD, but perfect for jumping about to. There was a drummer in one of the bands - Harpie - who hit stuff really hard, with a stupid grin on his face all the time. He ruled.

Yeah....so, I moshed. Just wondering - can I do any long term damage to my brain or something?

Yup, I live so close I can go home to sleep in a nice warm bed while everone else shivers in thier tents. Might not do that, becuase I'd miss out on all the nightime stuff that goes on...

Metallica should be playing. And SOAD. That'll rock.

I saw them live. I still think they're overhyped crap for thirteen year old "rebels".

Thats what I did at Reading last year and got right to the front of Finch and Randy (lead singer and guitarist) came within a foot of me and I strummed his guitar. . . which was cool. He stood infront of me for like a minute.

FINALLY, someone who appreciates live music as much as I do. No one else believes me that it's like 100X better when you see a band live.
If you think those bands rock, see Slipknot live and it'll change your view on them too. U better go to Reading Festival this year then Mouldy, thats the best experience EVER, much better than Ozzfest or Glastonbry.
