I was very fond of a lot of old games, until I came to play them again and realised they were in fact quite dire.
Regardless, I still don't see any sense whatsoever in spending £180 on a console to play them.

Except those old SNES are better than current PSP titles.

Me too. Launch machine, still going strong. Still reading CDs/purple discs, too.
Personally, I reckon that report is a mistake. If you're running old SNES games, your PSP may well fall into the "useless" category. They just got confused! ;-)

Shame the drives are supposed to be a pain to replace otherwise it wouldn't matter as much.
I'm actually in on the whole plot that's why mine lasted as long as it did but shhhh
