Yes :) then you wouldn't have to take them to the cinema anymore.

Oh if you have lots of money to spend then sure go for the combo, but like Borat I always stay away from combos.

If you're going to be sticking it on a wall then yes the combo is probably a better idea.

I wouldnt stick anything to a wall, I'd worry it'd fall off ^_^

If you have more money you should invest in a home cinema projector, everyone seems to be getting them now and they're becoming cheaper. :D I'd love one.

Well, TVs on their own can be as little as £40 (although I'd be careful about the cheaper makes like Bush) and a DVD will only cost £18 from Argos if you get the cheapest one...

You have a point ... I'll be honest I'm usually skeptical about all in one units ... I'm just going off the one my mum got although admittedly she's only had it about a year, so there's time yet ...

Even with money being no object I'd go separate. The problem with buying these too cheap is the DVD player tends to fail before the TV (and I've heard ppl in Asda complain about the cheap ones in there). The TV will last for years so all you would need to do is keep replacing the DVD players. Probably cheaper in the long run but you can always blame me if that's not how it pans out... :D

I tend to think of these units like the washer / tumble dryers. You can put money on the fact that the tumble dryer will stop working within 3 months of the warranty running out.
