Well if u go by that logic then you musn't be watching many films at all as most of them has computer generated material in it and although some may look more "realistic" than others you'd still know it's computer generated so surely you'd just complain about that as well. Anyway Gollum did look computer generated i must admit. But that is the only way in which Peter Jackson could have created such a weird looking creature. how do you suggest peter jackson should over come this? get a guy running around in a crappy costume pretending to be some supernatural creature?????! for some who pretend to be an evil monkey scientist ure pretty dumb!
And the effects are brilliant - how were the first films effects below par?

On the trailer I saw that little monster thing whom the ring used to belong to. Still looked fake. Therefore, the effects in Two Towers are also fake looking, even if everything else looks better
We'll still see it/her in the third. I suppose an ending on such a climax would kinda make it harder to sell the story (such an abrupt end etc)
Still, I'm planning on going to see it... though I've said that about every recent film (xXx, Die Another Day etc etc) but I haven't seen a film at the cinema since Episode 2, and Blade 2 before that... I need to get to the cinema more often!
