at 12.15 today i left school got on the bus and wen straight to the nearest cinema to watch the greatest middle film of a trilogy. WAT A FILM!!!!!! It was much better than the first one and that takes some beating. Although Christopher Lee's not in a lot, great battle scenes and great effects. Totally brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there's no way u can miss this one it's superb!!!!!!! sorry that i haven't given more detail in this post but i didn't want to spoil the film.

oh and what was the big deal with the name smeagel? cant remember who it was in the first story

Yeah but since I've read the books I know exactly what was added to the film and what was not, including "HER".

If you want to know the part where Aragorn fell off the cliff into the water, never happened. The only female character that appeared in the book was Eowyn. No Galadriel or Arwen.

It's good. For the few hours that you watch it.

Pow die evil hordes die die die pow pow pow. Aside from Gollum, there's nothing really interesting about the film that you can think about afterwards. Nice fighting though.

You know, I never noticed it.

I was also unhappy that the bloke who played Gimli also provided the voice for Treebeard. It was so obvious that it ruined the pretence of a big walking, talking tree.
