Having played the demo, the speed thing isn't an issue. If anything, it improves the game because you've got a fraction more time to put moves together.
Players abilities are also more realistically tied to their ratings. In PES4 for example, it was almost impossible to get Henry to run away from defenders. In the demo of PES5, if you get it right, he can leave them for dead.
Apparently it's too realistic and too slow.
But there are others who think it is the best PES yet, so I guess we'll have to wait and see...
when you get used to it though, it is amazing!! What a joyous day!!

Its to stop slowdown, and maybe reduce lag in online play.
