Anyway, today... they said LOTR The Two Towers is one of the greatest films ever made... What's wrong with that, you ask? Well, they also said that about the first LOTR film... and we all know how bad that turned out
Stupid Daily Mail
And Sauron is the evil dark lord - the one they always supposedly go on about.
I think for introducing a whole new and incredibly detailed and complex world, they did a pretty good job.
;)
I knew the ring had made Beany go mental, and try to kill the little midgit Frodo, but that was all
Anyway, in those three short paragraphs you explained the film's plot better than the entire film itself. Well done
The only place the ring can be destyored is Mount Doom, in Mordor.
Bormir gets a bit annoyed and beleives Frodo is taking it to Sauron (The ring is tricking his half-ideas into full ones)
Hence he dies.
Lord Of The Rings is really for the people who read it and actualy enjoyed it (me included).
The fact that the world created is centred on the ring, and the terror and destruction that could be unleashed if the Ring was captured is central. Therefore the ring is vitaly importnat. I agree the film perhaps alienated non-book readers, but it still holds magic for people who read and loved the books.
They did try to change it, but they evidently did not change it enough - as us story lovers would of got a bit annoyed!
:D
It totally alienated anyone who hadn't read the books. I had enough trouble keeping up with what was going on, without them boring me to death every two seconds
Talking feautred heavily, and yet it was all good (to me anyway)
Opinion I suppose.
So is American Beauty bad for all its talking and very little action?
Basically, LOTR was terribly boring. The term "paint drying" comes to mind...
And Return Of The King will be the best film. Ever. Morodor, Battle Of The Pelennor Fields........ the Black Gate...... Mount Doom...... Mwhwhwahhaha!
And most, just about *MOST* films have a lot of talking in them.
Odd that.
