From what I've heard about it the old starwars christams (cringe inducing) tv special was better than episode 1
(that said I've got episode 1 on video and dvd thanks to the old film a day)

Painting my nob luminescent green, standing in front of a mirror and waving it about going "Oooo,I'm a Jedi. Feel my force" is better than The Phantom Menace.
They could have filmed Lucas on the bog, pants round his ankles reading the script outloud and making the noises with his mouth and *that* would have been better than The Phantom Menace.
Watching dogs mating in a park and having IB running around in the background with his Clone-Trooper helmet on shouting "I have you now" would have been better than The Phantom Menace.
You get the idea

This can't be a real post, surely? For the record, Episode 1 was a bit chuddy, Episode 2 was much better but not as good as Empire or New Hope.

The second one was an improvement, but LOTR:FOTR blows them both out of the water.
