You are wrong, in unimaginable ways. Never diss Indy.

I think a few million religious folk would disagree there.

Willow - sucked, badly.
Indiana Jones - worse franchise than James Bond, okay at the time but dated now, badly, and boring.

Jackson may not have a long list of films, but he's brought to life the greatest story ever told in a way that is believable, near flawless, and convincing. As for Lucas;

*Episode 1 is New Hope, exchange Princess Leia for Queen Amidala, Obi Wan for Qui Gon, Death Star for Droid Control Ship, Rebel Base for Naboo, Anakin for Luke Skywalker, and throw in annoying Jar Jar Binks to completely screw it all well.

*Episode 2 is essentially Empire Strikes back in it's basic plot line - the bad guys are winning, the good guys are taking a kicking.

There is hope for Episode 3, but will a desire to get a low BBFC or American equivalent film rating stop the film from being what it should be ? Probably, after all they're got to shift the merchandise to kids.

Exsqueeze me. Bacon powder.

Willow, Indiana Jones, tons of stuff.

Jackson has only done LOTR. They needed a big geek who knew the universe inside out, knew the locations and had the free time. Jacjson's only sacrifice as not being able to play "Medievil Realms" online, or something.

Lucas is a God amongst film-makers. Jackson got it offered on a plate.
