I started playing again today, as a Dark Elf mage. I stole those two greater soul gems from the mages guild, worth 60000 each I beleive :D
:-)
That was a biatch
That rocks. You get to join one of three clans, and theres big underground towns, and you can only get out at night and you get to suck peoples blood :D
Fun, but hard.
Oh and these a really, really useful map you sould definatly download, it lists every single place and zooms in to show you where it is.
I can't remember the link but I could probably send it to anyone who wants it.
I've delivered the package to the bloke at the Corner Club in Balmora, and he's sent me to Nine-Toes to teach me.
ONly thing is, the training costs over 400 gold, and I've only got about 3 gold pieces :-(
I stoled some stuff in the customs house, but I haven't found anywhere to sell it. I've joined the Thieves guild (my character is a thief), but I can't fence the stuff in there either :-(
Still, I've been arrested once, and killed once - I tried to set someone on fire with a fire spell. Managed it, but the rest of the people at the inn decided to beat me up for it. Can't think why... :-)
Need to get into a bit more, but it seems a top game.
Once you've gotten that far, you've most likely reached the point where your character is more or less invulnerable, and possesses virtually superhuman powers. There's no longer anything left to aim for to improve yourself, and it's at that point you start to see the appeal of trying it all over again with a new character....
I've played about eight characters myself. Three thieves, a mage, a knight, a couple of custom fighters, and an assassin. I played each of them through to around level 20 or so before starting over. The last four or five were all on the max difficulty setting, for a bit more lastability.
Hugely involving, started as a puny little new arrival, now I'm a nails-hard Fighter's Guild champion with stupid, level 38 armour and nowt can touch me.
I'm currently in the middle of the Neverine Prophecies, discovering my true purpose.
I never like RPGs, but Morrowind is superb eh? Immense worlds, amazing visuals etc.
One of my favs
One question: has anyone actually finished Morrowind, if such a thing is possible?
