The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
So we would like your comments in this BUG TEST. An extra prize will go to the person who contributes the most to improving this site with little tweaks or solutions.
LITTLE TWEAKS are the operative words. You will not win anything for suggesting that we spend £35 billion on a re-design.
You must post your comments under this topic (or the similar one on the Playstation 2 forum) to stand a chance of winning.
Good luck
The Winner will be decided on Christmas Eve
You know where the N64 site is? Yeah if you click on N64
discussions, nothings in there! I think it's from the old forum which you didn't move the new one for that link.
The problem is mainly that SR have bought to many sites and they don't wish to waste them
The sites have individual URLs so that you can go straight to them. e.g. UKdiscussions.com
You would still need a link to get to them even if they were not individual named sites. We like it this way, e.g. Gameaday.co.uk. It gives us lots of POINTS OF ENTRY and POINTS OF INTEREST within our sites.
You guys like the discussions, but you are only a tiny fraction of 100,000 plus people who come to this site every month. So we have to cater for everybody's needs.
This is a network of sites, so it is imperitive that people can go from all over the place to everywhere else. Otherwise you would not be able to get here and even if you did you would not be able to get to anywhere else, which you wouldn't know existed anyway.
Elements of the sites are standardised so that you can always find the links in the same places.
If you spot dead links or old links please name them. That's what we are looking for.
The only alternative to lots of links is to only have one link to a page which is a search and site map page. But you would have to go there every time you wanted to go a different part of the site. Would this be better?
Yep - cheats and reviews need tidying, I'll go along with that.
Anyway, it's not clear sometimes if the link is on one line or two, I'm not sure whether I'm clicking on
'About'
or
'About
Freeola'
(When I click it, that is.)
