I'm sure you all know about this, as someone who loves kids, I find it rather upsetting. It's a parents nightmare for something like this to happen especially so young as 6 months. I don't know what happened, I mean like my girlfriend said, "wasn't anyone there to prevent this?". Perhaps the parents were careless, I'm sure they knew they were vicious rottweilers.

Yep I remember the guy saying "even poodles", but that wasnt suprising as some of them can be quite vicious :/ usually the little ones.

Yes I agree, Bull Terriers and Rottweilers they seem to be the breeds usually involved in these kind of incidents so I think there needs to be some control.

Bull Terriers and Rottweilers are primarily guard dogs and fighting dogs. There should be a special handlers licence for them, in the same way as there are for other dangerous creatures. Yes, I know the arguement is that they can be loving creatures too, but then a bear trap can be safe as long as you don't step in it, but you wouldn't have them around the house, would you?

Banning them will just mean that the whole thing moves underground, but licencing them properly will help. Really they should only be used for heavy guard duty anyway...

Something like that happend with pitbulls I think, they're not banned as such but apparently it's illegal to breed them (or at-least some strain of them) so the plan is that they will die out (in the UK anyway).

The partner was killed? wow, this just gets worst and worst.

"I think what we need is not legislation on different dogs but legislation on dog owners. I would like to see something like the theory test for driving. To be able to own a dog you would have to show you are committed and know about dogs."

What do you guys think of this?
