I'm sure you all know about this, as someone who loves kids, I find it rather upsetting. It's a parents nightmare for something like this to happen especially so young as 6 months. I don't know what happened, I mean like my girlfriend said, "wasn't anyone there to prevent this?". Perhaps the parents were careless, I'm sure they knew they were vicious rottweilers.

And yet family dogs that have been raised properly still attack children and adults.

They're docile for the most part, in that they aren't as likely to ignore what they've been taught.

They don't have the kind of fredom of thought humans have, so they're very unlikely to stray from what they know.

Yeah exactly, so you train a dog what makes you think its going to stick by what you teach it?

Dogs aren't as intelligent as humans.

I dont believe its anything to do with how the dog is raised. You take any dog, whether it be well trained or not, you can bet either one would attack.

Its like humans, doesnt matter if you were properly raised or not, at the end of the day its the indvidual that can turn and attack!I could kill someone everyones got it on them, but i wasnt raised a killer!

A dog is only as vicious as you train it to be - from birth (or as early as possible). The dogs can't be blamed for these attacks, they're only behaving according to how they were raised.

You guys were right, I keep seeing on the news sites about Rottweilers and Pitbulls attacking more kids. I think since @ngels thread I've seen 5+ more attacks. I guess this happens a lot, it's just now we hear about every one.

One of my friends had a little bulldog and one night when he was going to bed it was lying down on the sofa and he bent down to blow it a kiss and it sunk its teeth into his face.

I think he'd startled it and it just reacted instinctively.
