Michael want a Jerk to start with.
Most of the characters on Lost have left behind bad pasts in the real world in which they have done something bad. Michael was the complete opposite. He did nothing wrong in the real world, instead his son was taken away from him by his ex-wife. It was only when he got to the island that he did something wrong by killing Libby and Anna-Lucia (you could argue that killing Anna-Lucia was good though, I didn't like her). He then left behind the bad things he did when he left the island. He was a Jerk for handing over Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hugo.

Frenchy is Alex's real mum but she got taken as a baby and raised by Ben as though he was her father.
hmph. Hardly seen any of Season 3 so far.

What did the flight attendant say to Jack? The little girl wanted to know something. I couldnt hear it properly. Wonder if all those people were survivers.
So Bens been on the island all his life? It's weird, I tend to assume that all the others were brought over at the same time. But you have Ben there all his life, French lady losing Alex 16 years ago. And whatshername being brought to the Island just 3 years ago (though she thought it was just going to be 6 months).
So whats with this Sheriff lady? I suppose you need some order in any community.
Another question, the tattoo on Jacks arm. Why did he want it? I couldnt hear what was going on, I thought she was a w***e but then she gave him a tattoo and got the crap kicked out of him.
Does anyone else think the writers had bad fathers when they grew up? Its like everyones dad is a total jerk (Jack&Claires, Hugo's, Locke's, Michael) even that Alex cant stand her dad. Which reminds me. Alex's mum is the French woman and her dad is Ben? =S that can't be right? I'm sure she captured Ben and wanted to kill him. Still dont know why Ben was out there and easily caught.
What's with the cat? Is he an illusion too? Like the horse and the dead friends/fathers?
I suppose it could be Locke's dad, but then as I mentioned, this island has a way of creating illusions so I guess we'll have to wait till the next episode.
So they've been on the island for 80 days? You'd think they'd do a little more than just relaxing on the beach. I'd have built a whole wooden village by now. That's right, come sleep in my nice huts instead of lying on the beach getting sand everywhere and getting drenched whenever it rains hard.
I wonder if they'll run out of processed food now that the hatch is gone.

I thought that room might be the box. Isn't it more likely though that there is no box and in fact Ben just knew Locke hated his dad and kidnapped him earlier then lied about there being a box.

I think that place was the box, Ben made Locke think about how he hates his father, and how he love to see him tied and in some form of pain. Ben said whatever you imagine comes out of the box.
Just my theory.

I think that place was the box, Ben made Locke think about how he hates his father, and how he love to see him tied and in some form of pain. Ben said whatever you imagine comes out of the box.
