This is actually a true story, and took a while to work out by detectives. And I'm not suprised.

Deep in the forest was found the body of a man who was wearing only swimming trunks, snorkel and facemask. The nearest lake was 8 miles away and the sea was 100 miles away. How had he died?

I'll tell you the answer in a few days.

Okay,

A father, Son and Grandfather go into a pub. They feel thirsty, so they look at the prices on the wall. Beer costs £3.50, so they look to see how much money they have between them. They find that they have £6.50, but they all order a beer and still get change. How?

For getting that right can you add £30 to the charity pool? :-)

Nope, room cost £25 so each man paid £10 originally at the £30 price, at the corrected price this works out at £8 and 1/3 pounds for each share of the room, not £9. This adds up to £25. (3 x 8 1/3) The porter gave them BACK a pound each and kept £2 for himself so:

(3 x 8 1/3) + 3 + 2 = 30.

Here's a good un. Three men go into a hotel to book a room. The receptionist tells them the room is £30 for the night, so each man pays £10. Once the men are upstairs, the receptionist realises that the room only costs £25 so he sends a porter up to give the men their £5. The porter can't figure out a way to split £5 three ways, so he pockets £2 and gives each man a pound back.

This means each man paid £9. Three times £9 = £27, plus the £2 the porter kept = £29. What's going on there? Unfortunately I can't remember the answer so someone will have to figure it out.

EH! The guard should not have known the man should have been flying because he is only a guard. So he must have been looking at files he should not be looking at.

so he sacked him for looking at private files and he did not tell him first time round!

THERE :)

i know! i think! the guard was not doing his job when he first left for the flight, so was not able to tell him then and he sacked him because he only told him when he came back!

I hope you got all of that!

Here's one I got in an email today:

A guy has to catch a flight, so he leaves his office on the 7th March to go to the airport, and halfway there he remembers some paperwork on his desk, so he goes back to get it. The security guard at the offices he works for stops him on his way out again and says "Don't take that flight. I had a dream last night that foretold that the plane would crash and everyone would be killed." So the guy goes home instead of taking the flight. Sure enough, the plane crashes and all are killed. The next day the guy goes back to the office, rewards the guard with $1000 for saving his life, then sacks him.

Why did the guard get sacked?
