Superb.
Totally different from the 1st two series.
Tubs & Edward killed in the first minute "Lines and lines and lines"
BAM
No laughter track this time, playing it straight as an arrow.
Loved the various movie nods, the kid from Tim Drum at the funeral was top and the last 2 mins with the "Don't Look Now" pastiche starting with Mickey's painting "bleeding" was superb.
Chuckled at the amount of man-on-man action (even with Steve Pemberton dressed as Pauline, it's still 2 blokes), that'll ruffle a few psyches out there. Wonder if it's to deter the trendy "Oh yah, that show is like, sooo cool man!" since they won the BAFTA?
Shock 'em with homo-erotic sex scenes so they have to pretend they think it's tres trendy?
Next episode in 2 mins on BBC Choice, or next week on BBC2.
Good to have The League of Gentlemen back, darker than before and just as funny.
"Edward, will we still be...local?"
Brilliant episode. Bit wierd that BBC are showing the premieres of their three best current comedies within a week of each other (Coupling, LoG, Office).
At last BBC Choice has a purpose!
I forgive TV all the crap it's churned out up to now for the past hour of wonderfulness.
Lost for words. Pleasantly.
New series of the Office too.
All bloody summer with, bar 24, awful TV and then with 9 days before uni two of the best series ever. Damn.
Superb.
