Hi all,

Well , got the PS2 and I have to say - WOW. Never has £300 been so well spent. How that little box can do all this is a mystery to me..

However - I have one little 'problem'.
Borrowed 'Lock Stock' from a friend on DVD and after watching for around 30 seconds noticed the sound had got out of sync with the picture (by about .5 seconds). I assumed it was a problem with the disc.
Paused it, went to get a coffee, came back and unpaused it , and it was all back in sync again. Weird or what ?

So question is , has anyone else noticed this, my friend claims the DVD is fine on his player.

PS - SSX absolutely rocks ! Go and buy it NOW. Right NOW.

My DVD is fine with The Cable supplied and My PS1 RF Cable. Maybe your Cable supplied is loose or something

I think the solution will be the S-video cable; trouble is most tv s-video ports are on the front, for camcorders. so I'll have cables dangling out of an open panel on the front of my TV. Nice.

My friend had a synch-ing issue on his PC dvd player. once again it cleared when he paused it. Maybe it's common with lower-spec dvd players (the ps2's is alledgedly hardly a world-stopper!)

Yep, Same thing at this end.
Crap visuals through supplied cable, PS1 scart very clear and crisp but green DVDs !

Took me a while to figure it out though.

Reading the manual it seems you can get another scart that is able to send the DVD video in full coulour. But guess what - You have to buy it. :-)

Thanks for info on the the syncing though. I will do some more experiments tonight.

OK no problems so far with DVD synch-ing, but, after discarding the supplied composite AV cable in disgus**t, and switching back to my old PS1 RGB SCART, a new problem has arisen: GREEN DVDS!

game s**tuff through the RGB is superb; very clear picture. However when you play dvd through this cable you only get shades of green!

plugging this cable into the composite scart on my TV allows me to play dvds, but I don't want to keep switching cables! (the composite picture for games is sh*t).
