You guys have played it, so what are the good parts? I've read reviews, but a little persuasion about the fun factor, etc would be nice. Is it worth buying?

No that's your opinion and I'm fed up of seing your name everytime someone says they enjoy Mario saying it's not that good etc etc.
The fact is that 95% of people who own the game love it, you're one of the few who don't. I don't think the sunshines out of Marios bum, if it was a rubbish game then i'd tell everyone it was, i'll be the first too admit although I enjoyed Mario 64 but I didn't think it was THAT amazing.

I started Resi last night, so far so good really enjoying it, I have cacked my kegs on various occasions. Anyway which one is the easy option? I chose the top answer and it seems to be much harder than I remember the PS1 version being, 2 zombie bites and I'm dead and the Zombies take about 8 shots to go down.
> Mario's the most innovative game I've seen in years.
You obviously haven't seen too many.
> It's a real quality game,
Maybe, but not good quality.
> and easily the best platformer ever.
Well that doesn't say much. Platform is exactly the best genre. One of the most annoying, yes.
Also what about Mario 64? Do you think it's better or worse?
I'd have to disagree with you that it is innovative - it's just standard platform fair now. Ok, you have FLUDD, but Nintendo didn't invent the hoverpack and the hosepipe, did they?
Hang on......this has suddenly turned into a Mario thread. Cease. Resident Evil from now on.
