Look at this:

http://www.planetgamecube.com/ media.cfm?action=shot&id=177&seq=97

In game footage of Starfox Adventures.
A Gamecube game that looks better than any Xbox game around.

But the Xbox has the better hardware?

Well in that case, if Rare can do this for the Gamecube, imagine what they'll pull off when they start working on MS's hardware...

Never really liked Rare that much, well not since those guys left and formed Free Radical. You do understand those guys 'were' Rare. Too much pressure was placed on them and they all decided to form a smaller company, (my manager at work knows one of the dudes).

Hang on.. lemme read the rest of your post, you wanted to place that across.

Er-no!

You're not ANOTHER Nintendo follower to turn on Rare JUST because they're not Nintendo exclusive, are you?

Yes, Conker was around as 12 tales, but it didn't become anything special until got it's make over and broke away from the tradition cutesy style which would've made it generic.

Perfect Dark and Jet Force Gemini were great as N64 titles and Timesplitters wasn't exactly great.

It takes more than 2 designers and some minor staff to make or break a company. They've had to regain experience to improve things for Timesplitters 2, which is looking much better.

For every designer that leaves, a new one aspires with fresh ideas and has learned from the old ones. Its how things work in businesses.
Starfox is looking great (and WON'T be cancelled. That's been confirmed.)

Kameo was looking fine, even though it had NOTHING to do with these so-called godly designers that supposedly left Rare in ruins.

Rare staff have been coming and going since they started as: Ultimate Play the Game so many years ago. It's not affected them.
Staff come and go. By the time a designer goes, newer staff have learnt from them and have aspired to their position.

Rare will still be great no matter who owns them.
They've learnt a lot from Nintendo, and they've given plenty in return.

They'll be worth every penny MS pay for them.

Why are you bothered Er-no? You HAVE an Xbox to play these games on...

Rare are crap. Thats why Nintendo would get rid of them. All the great innovative coders and producers went and joined Free Radical in 1997-1998. Fact is, only Conkers Bad Fur Day has been around from Rare since then and that was halve completed when those dudes left.

If Microsoft brought Rare it would be through Nintendo's decision and Rare wouldn't keep any labels or big names. Its a shame, Rare were great and have to date not let gamers down. Although they should have released more when they had the chance.

Perfection is not always great.

As for StarFox, it probably won't even ever be released. Don't care really. *bad mood through other things*.

I wouldn't say it was THAT different graphically, but in the end, it all comes down to gameplay.

Only on a par with future X-Box releases ? Ok I think your going a little too far into dreamworld now mate. ;-)
The footage of Halo 2 urinates on Starfox like a drunk on a shop doorway.
;-)

I still think games such as Halo and DOA3 look better. Like I said - the main detail in Starfox is on the characters. The surroundings are impressive, but they've been bettered on the X-Box already. ;-)

Yes, Munch's Oddysee is a great game. PLayed it through twice now. Last time I was just two Quarma short of perfection.
I'm already looking forward to the next Oddworld game.... should be even better.

It *does* look nice, but saying it looks better than anything on the Xbox is, IMO, wrong. Not wanting to get into a console wars, but:

I thank you.
