I was wondering about dual CPU systems:
1) Can you use differently rataed CPUs?
2) Can I mix my XP2000 with a 266mhz FSB and an XP3000 with a 333mhz FSB?
3) Can you set the FBSs differently? If so, I guess you need more than one DIMM, yes?
4) How does XP handle dual CPU, considering virtually zero software is compiled with multithreading?
Thanks.

Well I didn't want him to make a mistake, but I also thought I was reading it wrong so I thought I'd better clarify that part. Still with the XP3k chips they will still kick out a lot of heat.

:-) Had also thought of that myself but after seeing the post about watercooling in here and the arguement/discussion that took place thought better of mentioning it.

get some watercooling in it Turbo!

Turbo, can I ask a daft question.
1. What are you using your computer for, why the need for dual CPU's?
2. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you'll need dual heatsinks as you have dual CPU's.
2xCPU = £500
1xHeatink = £50
1xMobo = £300 I should think
1xRAM - £80
Defintiely a Christmas+AS job then.

Nope you can't.

See answers above as funnilly enough, nope your can't do this.

XP will handle dual CPU's the same as Win2k, there will be no improvement unless your running software designed to use multithreading such as CAD programs.

Not a problem :-)
