Ok here we go again. Another question for all you clever people.

I'll start off by apologising - the other two questions i asked, I should have looked into first and when I did I found the answers pretty easily. I'm sorry I spammed up the forum.

But this time I spent the best part of an hour looking for what I wasnt and I couldn't find it, namely because I don't know what it's called.

You see the little bar down there next to the taskbar? (Internet Explorer) The one with the progress bar and on the left says 'Done' ? Well I've seen some websites have little messages that come up there. Please brace yourselves as I once again ask a question -

Has anyone got the scripty code for doing this?

Hmmm, the onmouseover status seems to work on my site. www.review-central.cjb.net (no one say a word, it may look naff but it's for practicing scripts :-))

Maybe I typed it out wrong :\

I just trie Rickoss' method and it doesn't seem to work. I get an Error message in the status bar and the effect doesn't do anything. I hget the default status working okay, but the onmouseover status message doesn't work. I get the URL of the target location with a yellow exclamation point.

But like rob said, it will make your site look very amateurish.... How many of the big sites do you know who do that?

That's what the default status is for.

I just want something like;

:: www.nintendoedge.com ::

in the status bar. Not for a mouseover, I want it constantly there. Sorry my original question was poorly worded. Any ideas?

It's better to see the actual url at the bottom so users know where they are going.

Oh and what ever you do don't do the scrolling marquee!

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Many thanks!!
Registered my website with Freeola Sites on Tuesday. Now have full and comprehensive Google coverage for my site. Great stuff!!
