Nintendo have a childish image, there is no question about that. Everyone who owns a PS2 or X-Box know that and uses it to torment the owners of every 'Cube owner in exsistance, but the question is if the GameCube is for children.

Games like Mario and Pokemon do nothing to kill the image, and if Nintendo are trying to get rid of this preconcieved idea with these games, they are creating a rod for their own back. Games full of bright colours and cute characters aren't really 'adult' are they?

But many people think that a game needs to be full of dark, dingy alleyways and full of crimson liquid to be suitable for a mature audience. Mario games often provide much more of a challenge than a 'survival horor game. Remember 'Mario 64'? that was one of the hardest games on the planet but many people still thought it was for kids.

I personally think that Nintendo and the GameCube is not for a younger audience, but it is just for gamers in general, but it isn't what I think that is mportant, it is what YOU think. Is the 'cube for kids or do you know that any true gamer can enjoy it.

Personally I feel if the people who make comments about the Gamecube being childish should just sit there and play the darn thing. It's games which have a fun look to them that rack in the £££. If these people feel the GC is too childish then I would love to see them tackle the tricky courses of super monkey ball or go through SSBM on very hard. I think then they would soon realise its not the look that makes all the difference its how the game plays.

Sure if some people want to abuse Nintendo then by all means they can, Its a free country and all. What I don't understand is some of these people just give dumb reasons with no really point either 'ha ha look at that he's got a water-hose instead of a rocket launcher, what a poof!'. I'm sure having a break from serious gaming is a lot of fun and not a childish thing to do. Some people don't see it like that...

Don't get me wrong I love a good shot up its great to get rid of some of that anger, but fun games are great too. I mean Mario cannot be seen as childish in my opinion he is just 'fun'. Fun doesn't need to be branded as childish, but if it is then I have to be the most childish person ever. It is a barrier which some people feel they will never climb just because they think they will be called childish for playing nintendo games.

Really I couldn't care less and would much prefer to spend my money on games which I really enjoy, instead of playing games which are the ones with loads of blood and swearing in. Let me ask you this: Would you rather *honestly* get 100 hours of play out of Mario and love it or see some great graphically advanced game for around 20 hours and not have as much fun? I love to see the way gaming is going and the great games that are sooooooo childish which are coming out for the GC: Resident Evil (now this is a really childish game) Eternal darkness (mmmm hmm) and other great titles.

I really think that Nintendo have got the right mix of games to make the GC great. If you feel the Nintendo games are childish then just give them a go you will be pleasantly surprised!

LOL! TOSH = Translate or suffer Headaches.

Basically, translate what he is saying so that it makes sense, or suffer a headache trying to work it out!
