It seems to me that a lot of the big hitters are shying away from the lacklustre Xbox because of the lack of units sold and the number of videogames they can realistically shift.

Example:

GTA4 ps2 exclusive

Toca was supposed to be Xbox as well, no news on whether it will ever come out on MS console. PS2 only at the moment.

Tomb Raider was supposed to be dual format as well now it is PS2 exclusive.

Wreckless new version for PS2 where you can run over padestrians, that company obviously realised where the real money is.

Malice at first a Xbox exclusive now on PS2 as well.

These are examples of how market forces work and developers can not afford to sell titles to niche markets like Xbox. This is why a franchise like Abe got it so wrong going Xbox exclusive a once popular brand that was always in the top 10 is no-where to be seen, did it even launch.

PS2 sales for last month 58,000 = 50% of the videogames sold
Gamecube = 36,000
Xbox = 22,000

As I said market forces rule.

I'm an Xbox fanboy? Oh dear...

Anyway, you still haven't said where you got those sales figures from, or which country they were for.

So it looks like YOU'RE the one speaking out of their spotty bum cheeks, not me.

Idiot.

Sorry mate, your facts are wrong as usual :)

GTA4 - Coming to xbox in 2004.
Getaway - PS2 Exclusive
Lord of the Rings - Xbox Bound 2003.
Harry Potter - Xbox Bound 2003.
Tomb Raider - PS2 Exclusive
Toca - Xbox Bound next month
The Sims - PC game.

Heres a few Xbox Exclusives that i can think of: -

Blinx Timesweeper
Project Ego
Project Gotham Racing
Halo 2
Shenmue II
Jet Set Radio Future
Dead or Alive 3
Rallisport Challenge
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Bruce Lee Quest of the Dragon
Chase

Sneakers
House of the Dead 3
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Unreal Championship

They are a few i can think of at the top of my head. There are 60 at the current moment in time.

You are such a Xbox fanboy who talks out the hole of his a**e, what exclusives name them.

PS2 exclusives:

GTA4
Getaway
Lord of the Rings
Harry Potter
Tomb Raider
Toca
The Sims

I mean this is just off my head, not made up in garbage.

Then there is the innovation the Xbox is going to change the face of gaming what with Max Payne, NHL 2002, Moto GP, Jet Radio Future, Project Gotham, I mean the last two are just revamped sega games where's the innovation in that.

Thats only true if people are buying the product for themselves. If parents are buying it for their kids for Christmas, then they may well go for the slightly cheaper option. Especially if the kid has said that they're not too bothered which one they want.

Well, if MS are cutting the price to £160, i expect Sony wont be far behind. But as I have said before, a products popularity is not just price driven. If people want a particular product, they will pay more for it if they have to (within reason). And from what the latest sales figures indicate, people still want PS2. If price was the only consideration, we (the public) would never have bought any PS2, GC, or XBox, because they were more expensive than the PS1, Dreamcast and N64. You can still shop around and pick up a new Dreamcast for about £65, but people are not rushing around buying them up instead of PS2, GC, or XBox.

Xbox and Gamecube are looking to be beating the PS2 by christmas time as they are coming up with the most original and innotiative(sp?) titles around, also with the 60 xbox exclusives coming our way.

At first i used to like topics were people go on about why one console is better than the other, only if they give why they are better though.

Now its getting boring as the same arguement for each console is coming up over and over again.

I could say Xbox is better becuase look at its specs, and fair enough it has better ones, some one could say ps2 is better because its sold more, which it has.
Then both would go away thinking that they "won" becuase they think their argument was better than the others.

The fact is that no one console is better than the other.
Like GCSEs and A-levels no one is better than the other.

If someone got an A* in history and another got an A* in Geography which one is better? None of them as they are diffrent subjects.

That A* in history might seem like nothing for the geography student if he wants to go into something like going around the world, but to the history student it may seem the best as he wants to be a history teacher or something.

They all are better at one part of something compared to the other.
