It seems to me that a lot of the big hitters are shying away from the lacklustre Xbox because of the lack of units sold and the number of videogames they can realistically shift.

Example:

GTA4 ps2 exclusive

Toca was supposed to be Xbox as well, no news on whether it will ever come out on MS console. PS2 only at the moment.

Tomb Raider was supposed to be dual format as well now it is PS2 exclusive.

Wreckless new version for PS2 where you can run over padestrians, that company obviously realised where the real money is.

Malice at first a Xbox exclusive now on PS2 as well.

These are examples of how market forces work and developers can not afford to sell titles to niche markets like Xbox. This is why a franchise like Abe got it so wrong going Xbox exclusive a once popular brand that was always in the top 10 is no-where to be seen, did it even launch.

PS2 sales for last month 58,000 = 50% of the videogames sold
Gamecube = 36,000
Xbox = 22,000

As I said market forces rule.

Shenmue 2 was released in Europe and Japan on the Dreamcast but not in the US. So it is kinda fair to release it to the Yanks.....

If Shenmue II is not being axed why are they saying there is not enough of a userbase to justifiy bringing it to Europe as the game has proved to be unpopular and not to European tastes.

Xbox Shenmu 2 release axed in Europe, what a surprise a quality game like that is not coming to Europe.

Lets face it the niche market that the Xbox represents could do with a quality title where you amissley walk around an environment all day, occasionally talk to a few people and beat some of them up in that c**p slow mo style fighting system, another piece of sega rubbish could be just right for the Xbox.

I don't want to play Harry Potter, LotR or GTA 4. If I'd wanted to play those, Iw ouldn't have sold my PS2 to buy an Xbox.

I want to play Xbox games, that's why I bought an XBox.

Can't you figure that out? You're quite possibly the most stupid, biased person I've ever had the misfortune to "meet".

As usual you Xbox fanboys come second best, by the time you get your versions of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and GTA4 PS2 fans will have completed them and moved onto something else.

As for most of the other exclusives you mentioned they are in house titles which are bound to be exclusives anyway div.
If that were the case I could easily reel of loads of PS2 exclusives.

Problem with this is that from what i can see, the younger generation are even more likely to go for PS2.

GTA4 - Coming to xbox in 2004 - thats if XBox is still around in 2004!

Lord of the Rings - Xbox Bound 2003 - After everyone has already got the PS2 version.

Harry Potter - Xbox Bound 2003 - Again, on PS2 before the XBox "port" which will look identical.

Toca - Xbox Bound next month - Is it, not sure.....

The Sims - PC game. - Yep, nice game - and due on PS2 this Xmas. Plus it's not a straight port.

> Project Gotham Racing - Not as popular as GT3
> Halo 2 - Possibly ok !
> Shenmue II - No Europe release.
> Jet Set Radio Future - One of the reasons why DC failed.

You forgot DOOM 3 - This could be good.
