What does w00t mean?

No, don't laugh, I'm 24, I'm a father, I'm not supposed to know these things.

I reckon people that write that are probably suffering with a nasty encrocklement.

I could paste 3 lines of a #multiplay log and you'd be lost...

hax0r, w00t, n00b, 0wned/0wnz0r, r0x0r, pwned, rar, l33t0r, teh win, j00, sux0r..

Abbreviations are a whole new area;
gg, nn, wp, n1, omg, fo, gsfs, fs, ty, bg, stfu, ffs, pld, bs and so on..

I try not to use these...I know how they sound. LANs take their toll, but I try to keep some sort of grasp on the English language, or maintain an ability to use words of more than 3 letters..

For me its either:

w00t - "What?"

OR

w00t - "Wahoo!"

Understand?

Oxford English Dictionary's Definition of "w00t":

w00t, n. [wu-oot], I am a braindead dipsh*t; I have no balls.---a., w00tism, the act of having no balls.

l33t, n. [leet], I am a braindead dipsh*t; I have no balls; my mother is scraping skidmarks off of my y-fronts.---a., l33tness, the act of having no balls, and skidmark stained underwear.

Hope that clears things up for you. ;)

I always thought it meant "what". I don't see the point in using numbers. 7337, 0wnage. Whats the point? Geeks are weird.

Christ....

A dad at 24. I'd hate to be in that position.

w00t means you're excited, like "yay!" or something

Meh, as cookie and phi11ip have said, is a dismissive term.

"Meh, I can't be bothered."

Same as: "Bah" or "Gah".

But Meh is used as a derogatory or dismissive term. If you said Me it would get confusing as to what you were inferring.
