The thread for Boasting or telling us how you screwed up so we don't get a million such threads. As the first batch are out tommorow. Good Luck.

I received an A for Computing and an A for Business Studies, only to get a C for Physics and D for Maths. I can retake two of the three modules in Maths and still get an A, apparently, although the best I can get for Physics is a B - unless I'm a genius for it next year in the A2s.

On a lighter note, I got full marks for the BS2 module in Business Studies - that's 90 out of 90! Also, a 97 out of 102 for my COmputing Coursework.

It's the other way round for me, Sol, I'm terrible with coursework (I'm so lazy) but I'm pretty good with exams (I can bluff my way through most things I don't have a clue abou)

I hate the way coursework lets me down. It shouldn't be part of any course, since most kids just get their parents to do it. Even when I was doing really badly during my GCSEs, I still never asked for any help from anyone. Well, except getting my brother to do my science homework, but that was because I couldn't do it at all, and I didn't fancy detentions, heh

Well done MoJoJoJo and Strafex.

I found it was the exams that let me down though, just like at GCSE last year. I'm good at the coursework and all that, but when it comes to the final exams I just fail - not matter how hard I revise!

I really was expecting some B's overall though. :(

Oh, and well done to everyone else too.

I got a letter at 11am saying my results were ready in a few days.
However, this was supposed to arrive 3 days ago so i had to rush down the college to get my results in time.
And then they couldn't find my results. I got quite annoyed until my tutor came in and told me myresults were not due until next week.
what a day.

3 B's...

A B for computing which I'm happy with.
I missed an A in physics by 2%, so I can always push that up with my A2's.
In Further Maths, one out of the 3 exams went wrong but I can retake it.

And maths, although I've not got a grade for it yet (still need to do the last exam), but I might get an A for it too.

The exams actually went really well - it was the damn coursework that's brought things down.

Anyway, I'm happy. :-)

Yeah, so I was up at 6am this morning, watching the news in bed and necking cans of Fosters. Finally went to sleep, had lots of nightmares about bad results. Woke up at 12pm and had a quick shower. On the radio they were reporting that 96% of people had passed. Which made me feel terrible because I would be in that pathetic little 4%, who despite the best efforts of the government, still managed to fail. So I didn't eat anything, just had a glass o' H20, and set off.

I didn't see ANYONE else there, everyone had either already been and left, or hadn't been yet (there were a load of envelopes still there)

The year 13s had big brown envelopes, so I found mine on the table, and sat down on another table to crack that bad boy open. After shifting through some "What next?" etc papers, I found my grades. And nearly pooped my pants. Instead of the two Ds or Es I'd guaranteed myself I was going to get, two Cs were staring right back at me. I re-read everything, checking to make sure these were my grades and not something else (targets or something)

With no-one there to talk to, I walked home, flicking through the (very) cheaply made yearbook (which doesn't acknowledge my existence) and looking at my scores. I got an A in one of the exams, but because I scored badly in others, and my AS grades were only Cs, the highest I could hope for was a C, which I got. Amazingly.

Too bad A levels don't mean anything any more, since the exams are getting easier

So, um, I'm off to college to get some more A levels next year, then to Uni to do media production. Yay for me

Here are my AS results that I went and got earlier this morning:

Art:
Coursework: D - Damn!
Personal Investigation: B - 2 marks off an A!
Exam: C - Better than I expected!
Overall: Grade C.

Art Graphics:
Coursework: C - Ok.
Personal Investigation: B - Didn't see that comin'!
Exam: D - Bah!
Overall: Grade C

DT Graphics:
Coursework: B - Cool! And it was un-finnished! :D
2 Exam Papers: D's - How the funk????
Overall: Grade C

I'm a little dissapointed as I was expecting better - like B's as soem overall Grades.
If you look at the Break-down results, it looks much better. I was also a few marks of A's and B's in a few places!
