OK, here is the situation, the thing i am about to speak about/ask will annoy some of you as i am sure it has been asked before, i don't care and if it does annoy you, then why are you still reading as you know what it will be about from the title!

I, as most people like to create games, i want to be a games designer, i like thinking up plots for Adventure games and RPGs, some may think it is sad, again i don't care!

If someone who knows how you can become one, get a game acknowledged please help me, i am poor at art, so my drawing are always basic but still, Steven Spielberg does stick figure story boards! Look how great he is, like i say, if you know how, please tell me

Thanx in adavnce

Say you wrote a question (like I did a few posts down) but the topic got ignored and slipped off the front page. Instead of starting a new topic, just write POP to pop it back onto the front page.

Dark BASIC is something that is designed for people with little or no programming language. It has step by step tutorials on the different components (right word?) of the language and after about a month you'll be able to program simple games such as Pong, Tetris or even Space Invaders.

However, I've heard that if you want to take things seriously (which is what I want to do) pascal is the language to learn. Apparently this is because BASIC provides no real 'run-up' to the main C++ language whereas pascal is good for beginners and will prepare you for C++.

Anyone know anything about this?

i tell, you, what you waht is Blitz Basic 3D, its far bettr than Dark Basic, and enables you do do things at a much faster rate. Dark Basics fine if you want to do something like pong, but if you want to do a proffesional looking game, Blitz is ya man.

Of course if your really gonna be stubborn, add me to your contacts on msn ([email protected]) and I help you with whatever
