I, as most people like to create games, i want to be a games designer, i like thinking up plots for Adventure games and RPGs, some may think it is sad, again i don't care!
If someone who knows how you can become one, get a game acknowledged please help me, i am poor at art, so my drawing are always basic but still, Steven Spielberg does stick figure story boards! Look how great he is, like i say, if you know how, please tell me
Thanx in adavnce

Yes i know C++ is a totally different language, i am saying Visual basic is a programming language that gives you the feel of programming (how it works ect.) so you can move onto more complex languages such as C++
Also if you want a job in the games industry would'nt the employer want an employee with qualifications? I don't think they'd accept someone whos just read a few books and made a small tutorial-game out of it....
Can people please tell me more about this programme, can they be saved on to cd?
Thank you very much

Sorry to say this, but Visual Basic 6 is nothing like C++. Sure, the main principles such as variables, blah, blah, are still there - but it's like a whole new language (literally) that you have to learn.
ANd you don't have to go to college or uni to learn programming - pick up a book or five, read all about it, make some games and apps, and get tested by a Microsoft examiner or whatever.

Get yourself a copy of Dark Basic for the PC, it will allow you to develop your own games, which can look at good as you want them to be (within reason).
is it very expensive?
I have already got knowledge of Visual Basic 6 (a basic version of the C++ language) its always better to get a head start to get the feel of programming.
