Wow.

I just downloaded as many as I could get, and they are spectacular. It doesn't really sound like Rage because there's no rapping, but the guitars are similar. On the upside, Cornell has never sounded better, and all of the songs are far better than anything Soundgarden ever did. And that is quite a feat to pull off.

Allegedly the album's going to get a release despite the problem that Cornell has reportedly left. Also It should be released under the band name Civilian. And I hope it does, because the stuff I've heard is jaw-droppingly good.

I've got a feeling that a few of the ones I downloaded were Soundgarden songs retitled, but the rest I'm pretty sure are the genuine article, having compared them with lyrics pages. Anyway this is the track listing if you're interested in downloading anything (I'd recommend Gasoline from what I've heard so far because it rocks)

1> Take It Out On Me
2> I'll Wait For You There
3> Lay Your Burden Down
4> Turn To Gold
5> Live In Silence
6> If You're Free
7> Get Yourself A Car
8> I Am A Highway
9> The Last Remaining Light
10> Light My Way
11> We Got The Better Bomb
12> Gasoline
13> Show Me How To Live

Rage Against The Machine were singerless and so they set out to find a new vocalist and took the person who use to sing for Soundgarden.

Thing is though, people didn't think he would fit in as Rage was all about rapping lyric's mostly.

Glad to hear it sounds good though, I'll have to hear some.

Cheers, me main man. You're a top guy, but perhaps you fault in the area of computers. A wise man knows, Macs are superior. ;-)

[email protected] is my e-mail address.

No porn, now.

Sure thing, if you give me an address/e-mail address I can send it to you on either Monday or Tuesday, depending when I post MWA's cd.

My MSN no work, except it does, but it crashes my computer forcing me to spend my days writing bitter made-up articles about Bill Gates :-) so it's the forums or bust.

Working late, Kieran? Always nice to listen to new and original things, so if you want to send a CD my way, it'd be highly appreciated.

Okay if you want to download stuff, I'd say go for anything but the last two tracks, because they're too crackley to be listenable, or even salvagable.

If anyone wants the stuff on a cd, I'd be happy to make one and ship it out. I've tidied up all of the songs bar the last two and got rid of all of the static and the pops and increased the volume to a reasonable level. I'll try and post some sort of review once I've had time to listen to the songs more, but on first impressions it's already pretty jaw-dropping. The earlier songs sound more like soundgarden than Rage, but tracks 11 and 12 sound almost as if Cornell is doing a sung interpretation of a Rage track and it's brilliant.
