"Cornell and Rage demos"

Wow.

I just downloaded as many as I could get, and they are spectacular. It doesn't really sound like Rage because there's no rapping, but the guitars are similar. On the upside, Cornell has never sounded better, and all of the songs are far better than anything Soundgarden ever did. And that is quite a feat to pull off.

Allegedly the album's going to get a release despite the problem that Cornell has reportedly left. Also It should be released under the band name Civilian. And I hope it does, because the stuff I've heard is jaw-droppingly good.

I've got a feeling that a few of the ones I downloaded were Soundgarden songs retitled, but the rest I'm pretty sure are the genuine article, having compared them with lyrics pages. Anyway this is the track listing if you're interested in downloading anything (I'd recommend Gasoline from what I've heard so far because it rocks)

Turn To Gold really reminds me of the RHCP.

Pint-sized album summary:

It starts off like Rage, then starts to sound strangely like the Chili Peppers, then it really moves away from Rage, sounding really laid back. Track 9 sounds really like Soundgarden, and then 10, 11 and 12 are the Rage/Soundgarden hybrid sound, and they're probably the best tracks on the album.

From what I've heard he quit the band but they are still releasing the album put together.

The Cornell/Rage stuff sounds good, though as you said, some of it sounds like Soundgarden in disguise. Hear lots of Rage though :-D Very different.

Actually, they've got back together. I'm not sure if that means they'll do any new material though...

And I heard that when they split, there were still plans to release the recordings.

Happy, got the CD this morning. Thats some top class delivery you've got going there. I'm listening to I'll Wait For You There now, and it's completely different from Rage. I like it :)

Kieran, if you want me to send you any music, then I'd return the favour. I'm not really sure I'd have anything you want, though.

And he's not banned anymore, we righted that mishap. Eventually.

Ahhh, but as we all know, we will only have the cds for a maximum of 48 hours, after which we will all destroy them :-)

Also this music cannot be bought as of yet, because it's not been released, and may never be released seeing as Cornell's decided to jack it in.

Didn't GasMask get banned for sticking a serial code up? And here we are sending people copies of music that we ain't bought?
