Not meaning to sound insulting, but other than a dvd player and a budget range, what exactly does the PS2 have going for it.

Yes, you have a huge playe base, yes you can play dvds, yes you can buy old games on the cheap.

What else do you have? Give me groundbreaking games. Tell me something, please.

To name some cool games....

GT3, GTA3, MGS2, TIF2002, THPS3.... the list goes on, there's so many good games out!

Have a good long play of one at a mates or something.
Or buy one and play loads of games.

If you dont like it then, just take it back.

I love my PS2.

Well, it depends what you like of course. For me, it offers more than the other platforms available - even though I have those too, for completeness.

well that's just it. I've looked in shops, but not being an owner of a PS2, I haven't read any magazines, so I don't really know what shines and what blows. Just looking at the shelves, the vast majority blows...
