Yes, you have a huge playe base, yes you can play dvds, yes you can buy old games on the cheap.
What else do you have? Give me groundbreaking games. Tell me something, please.

That's it for me.
i mean i thought it was okay playing it through the first time round but then got very bored the second and third time
the game can be completed in around an hour and a half if you skip all cutscenes
WHAT ABOUT ffx!
and if you didnt like MGS for the psone, you must be mad. PGS2 was a heap of a let down but I believe MGS was one of the best made games ever (without counting graphics).
that is, of course, only my opinion.
Still, there are plenty of great titles out there at the moment, usually underrated games that don't generate as much publicity as games like Metal Gear and Final Fantasy. Games like Dropship, Dynasty Warriors and Fur Fighters: Viggo's Revenge. It's just Playstation magazines and journalists tend to only concentrate on the big titles, usually sequels to PS1 games.
If you look around you can find some great games that seemed to have been ignored by many PS2 owners, types of games, which unlike the next sequel, are original and worthy of the recognition they deserve.

GT3 is the first racing/driving game that ive liked for ages and GTA3 is just superb, I really dont know why you dont like them....
MGS2 is superb, good storyline and everything.
But thats my opinion.

Hell no! This is Football 2002 is not a FIFA game..... as many people already know, its my favourite footy game and ive made lots of people want to buy it from what ive said about it, which then they have done. Check out my GAD winning review of it if ya like....
Excellent game.

Sorry, I shouldve said, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3...... now you must know what this is and if you havent already got it for your GC then get it now, great game.

If you are happy with your PC and GC games then I dont think you should get a PS2, but you *are* missing a great console with great games. One console and a PC suits me so im sure you will be ok with what you have.

Sorry, I dunno what kinda games they are..... just look on the net and see if you can find any....
:)
Hope that helped a little.

GAH! Keep that crap away from me!!!!
Each to their own I guess. I had once considered buying a PS2 solely for FFX, but after actually having played FF9, I can see that the FF series is headed in the wrong direction...

Each to their own. If we all liked the same things, the world would be a boring place.
> If TIF2002 is a Fifa football game
TIF isn't FIFA, but personally I don't rate it anyway.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 - also not my cup of tea.

And the rest. But to be fair, people who don't like these games are generally a minority, which is why they've spent so long at Number 1 in the all-formats charts, and are still in there now.
> What sort of strategy games are available on PS2?
Someone else will have to field that one! Not my area, as they're not my type of game. But I'd guess pretty much the same sort of titles as will be available on the other formats. Strategy games all follow a pretty standard script. Although they don't usually work as well on consoles as on PC.

I think between my PC and GameCube I have everything I need. The main selling points of the PS2 are GTA3 and GT3, both of which are approaching 2 years of age now.
