Sony scored a big hit with the PS1 and platinum games, which were affordable quality games that had to sell a certain amount to turn platinum, while N64 was still trying to sell cartridges for £64.99 Sony's platinum range came in at £19.99 and proved a big hit.
I am glad to see they are carryiing on the tradition with there PS2 platinum range. I mean lets face it GT3 is a far superior game to Project Gotham and yet it is have the price. They say you have to pay for quality but on this evidence you don't.

Are you completly ignorant or just stupid?
Mario Sunshine was released on the 19th of July in Japan that's just over a week ago,it has yet to be released anywhere else in the world so to compare it to those figures it plain stupidity on your part. In 4 days Sunshine sold 400,000 copies my ignorant friend, since the game went on sale, sales of Gamecubes in Japan has risen by 170% and is set to rise even further.
6 Million copies is looking like pocket change compared to what this little baby's gonna do. :D

Just wait and see how many copies of Super Mario Sunshine, Turok Evolution, Starfox Adventures, Perfect Dark: Zero are sold for GameCube later this year. Nothing can stop Nintendo now.

'rehashed'? What kind of druggy phrase is that? We could very well say Final Fantasy is the same kind of old rubbish just 'rehashed'.

No, the games were excellent. The merchendising and commercialisation of it all was c**p.

So basically because I don't like you're somewhat stupid and pointless post, that automatically makes me a ninety fanboy who likes pokemon? And you claim to be an adult as well, more like an immature schoolyard kid, grow up.

Go away PS2 fanboy 'cause 100,000,000 owners of Pokemon can't be wrong. You're an adult? Don't make me laugh.
I don't think the GC is gonna catch up with the PS2 but it'll be very intresting to see how they each do at Xmas.
You can't funk with Nintendo's game line-up and those are just the exclusive titles.

That funny considering that Mario Sunshine has failed to shift anywhere near the same units as Final Fintasy X and MGS2 in Japan, not to mention GTA3 which has sold over 6 million worldwide and the 4th installment will slaughter Mario Sunshine, infact a one of the mini missions in GTA4 you can bash a plumbers head in.

Don't forget, the Sims (new 3D version for PS2), and later GTA4. And in a few weeks, it will be TOCA Driver and Stuntman.

Hmmm reminds me a lot of the majority of PS2 games. GT Concept, GTA Vice City, MGS Substance, Tekken 4 the list goes on.
Stop talking out of your ar$e you biased little chimp.
