Ok so this may not get replies.
I hope it will though.

Do you have a favourite guitarist?

Mine is without a doubt Frankie Sullivan, from Survivor.

He is a living legend.

There are the overrated ones like The Edge and Yngwie Malmsteen ,and then the ones who spend their lives doing stuff thats life changing ,and it goes un-noticed.

It's an ultimate sin.

The Manics have yet to write a song I would consider "reasonable".

Greenwoond? Is he one of the Radiohead guitarists? If so, he's hardly one of the best guitarists ever. It's not as if he shows the wealth of his talents with that band. I don't think I've ever heard a guitar solo in a Radiohead song.

I forgot Bob Mould when I wrote my first post. If anyone doesn't know who he is then download "The Act We Act" by Sugar. The solo in that is fantastic and comes from NME's album of the year for 1991 (or maybe 1992).

Johnny Greenwood wins points for technical merit. Being a good guitarist isn't all about doing lightning fast solos. Greenwood and Coxon are two of the most inventive guitarists of the last 10/15 years.
